This December we have had an important task to prepare a collection of wild sable for its sailing at the very end of the year. The difference is that the first auction of wild fur in the season usually takes place in January-February, but not in December. This schedule entails organizational and logistical difficulties for the auction. We had heeded the requests of our suppliers and customers and tried to prepare and present a truly voluminous collection of furs for this time of the season.
The results had exceeded expectations: the price increase and active competition, especially for lots of dark colors. The pale-colored product had been slightly less popular due to the fact that a significant number of its traditional buyers had not have an opportunity to inspect it personally.
